Well, here we are. Back in Corvallis. Back at OSU. Back at Callahan. Back in 322. The fifth year for the most of it, the third year for the room.
Movein was decidedly non-suckful. We all knew what to do, knew where it all went, and it was all accomplished inside of an hour. The RAs are mostly either the old crop, or people I knew before, so about every five minutes it was like "ERIK! YOU'RE BACK! GREAT!"
It's good to be loved. ;)
Of course, last night I got really tired at midnight after the packing fun, and decided to go to bed...
Life utters the words 'refresh'
You feel suddenly awake!
Doh.
So I was up until 3:30am, got up at 7:30am, and was really freaking tired all day until I got that nap in. This is good.
And apparently the freshmen have begun their social networks without my interference, such that nobody has stopped to say hi yet. That's new and different.
Posted by Dwip at September 23, 2003 4:23 PMFeels great, huh? ;-)
Posted by: BN_Chili at September 23, 2003 6:48 PMWell. Few people have stopped by now. Helped with a computer - it's my lot in life to be "the computer guy."
Missed all the social interaction, as I will be sleeping more soon. But there's always tomorrow.
Posted by: Dwip at September 23, 2003 10:44 PMSocial interaction is overrated anyway.

*GASP*! BLASPHEMY! O.O
<--- highly enjoys social interaction
Well, depends what you mean by social interaction I suppose *shrugs*
Posted by: BN_Chili at September 24, 2003 5:39 AMYou know, like interacting socially?
Posted by: Whir at September 24, 2003 7:25 AMGenerally, huh? Well, in that case, I'll just say what I said before...
*GASP*! BLASPHEMY!!!!!
Posted by: BN_Chili at September 24, 2003 6:29 PMand seeing as I happen to agree with BN here, I'll just not say anything.
Posted by: toasty at September 25, 2003 12:16 PMNon-suckful move-in is good. :)
As for the social stuff...yeah. It'll improve. My social life always starts out shaky and gets better as the year progresses. Except in 8th grade, but that was just a plain bad year. :P
We note how hilarious it is that I'm giving you life lessons when you've got 7 years on me.
Posted by: Regina at September 25, 2003 3:00 PMGirls mature faster, remember? I've got ten years on you and I bet you can handle life ten times better than I can.

Posted by: Whir at September 25, 2003 5:25 PMYeah, girls ~DO~ mature faster than guys. But for some reason, when you hit around 20-21, all those cute girls you knew don't seem so mature anymore. In fact, some of they might seem a little too immature all of a sudden.
...
Yes, that was a rant.
*grumbles*
Posted by: BN_Chili at September 26, 2003 2:43 PMBad experiences, huh?
Posted by: Regina at September 26, 2003 3:41 PMTo second that, 18 y/o college girls are seemingly the most immature people on the planet.
Except the guys at that age, but perhaps not. The indecisiveness thing PISSES ME OFF.
But we won't be going there.
Posted by: Dwip at September 26, 2003 3:49 PMCome on, D. Let it all out. You'll feel better.
Posted by: Whir at September 26, 2003 3:52 PMBad experiences, huh?
Oh, no, not really. It's kinda odd actually, but I'll describe it the best way possible.
It used to be that, at any given time, I was attracted to a random girl. That girl was usually cute, fun, and smart. I even went out with one that was seemingly 'cute', 'fun', and 'smart'. Not that they wern't 'cute', 'fun', nor 'smart' anymore, but right now I'm not attracted to anybody I know. That bothers me. Also the fact that it bothers me, bothers me.
They're still 'cute', 'fun', and whatever, but oh my god please grow the hell up.
Those that are mature are all taken. Going after girls that already have bfs leads to bad things. I find myself somewhat attracted to older women, but that's another issue.
Or maybe I'm just aiming too high.
That was my thoughts in a nutshell. It seems to go against what I believed in before. Anyways, long story, and this is _Dwip's blog, not mine, so I'll stop for now =P
As for _Dwip, well, shoot it out. It'll prolly make you feel better =P
*grabs seat next to _Whir*
*pops microavable popcorn in the microwave*
*waits*
I just reread what I typed, and realised that some of it doesn't make sense. I'll rewrite it another day =P
Posted by: BN_Chili at September 27, 2003 6:00 PMOh, you've all heard the story. Multiple times. Don't feel like reprising it.
Grow the hell up, indeed. About covers it.
