Before I wander off to

Before I wander off to do some homework, we ponder a few things.

Such as, for instance, This article, which tells us that Polish troops have found 2003-dated, French-built anti-aircraft missiles in Iraq despite the ban on selling weapons to Iraq.

Or, for instance, the transcript of the head of the US WMD inspectors in Iraq's testimony before Congress about the state of the investigation, which sums up to "Well, we haven't found anything yet, and boy the newspapers sure are concentrating on that, but what we have come up with looks really frickin' suspicious, yknow?"

Though, to be fair to the other side, the whole "imminent threat of WMDs" thing might have been a TOUCH exaggerated, eh Bush? Much less that whole "Osama and Saddam, sittin' in a tree" thing.

Too, there is something deeply fishy about the whole Iraqi rebuilding contracts thing. Then again, there are perhaps rays of hope.

On the other hand, aren't we all sad that we can't be Baathists with heavy weapons?

Too, there is something deeply fishy about this whole CIA leak thing.

Too, there's something fairly annoying about any number of people on both sides of this war thing, both Bush for the whole carrier photo op "Major combat has ended!" thing, as well as people who wonder why in a few months we haven't yet managed to put Iraq into a condition fit for the proverbial naked virgin with the two sacks of gold.

That's enough. Homework time.

People who think we can rebuild Iraq, even with their help, in just a few months are hitting the pipe a little bit too hard.

Thank you for giving me all those links I never would have found because I'm a clueless uninformed citizen. :P You rock.
