So I was playing Civ...
"What," you say? "Dwip was playing Civ? I can't imagine such a thing!"
Oh, but it gets better. You see, I wrote an Epic-style report for it. And despite none of you but Gris being heavy Civ players, I'll even share it. Thusly:
The title, you ask? Comes from a Robert Jordan book. I thought of it somewhere in the first turns of the game, and thought it was particularly apt, given the end. But I won't spoil it for you. ;)
Posted by Dwip at November 21, 2003 11:57 PMPlease say those 14 hours weren't at one stretch. :P
Also, Civ looks like a very interesting and very complex game, which I now think I won't buy, mainly because I still have to beat Riven so I can buy and beat Exile so I can get to Uru because that just came out.
Yeah, I'm behind the times. But I only beat Myst last spring, so.
Posted by: Regina at November 22, 2003 9:08 AMPlayed over the better part of this week, actually, as the bulk of my downtime. The majority was played Thursday/Friday, though, in a couple of lengthy settings. Civ's like that sometimes.
Myst. Riven. I'm not going there. Doing so would be bad.
The moral, however, is simple: Blow up your school. Game more. Yes.
