Somebody should name a band that. I dunno why.
But yeah. One of the things I love about my job is when I start talking about our quality control and our reject rate. Used to be, and Dad could barely believe himself when I said this, that we'd rebuild probably 2 doors in every 50 or so, which works out to something around 4-5%. Today, by contrast, we built between 110-120 doors, and rebuilt around 20. Which is more like 15-20%.
You can only laugh, really.
Posted by Dwip at May 4, 2006 6:33 PMSo I poke onto your blog again after some ages and realise, not only do you have a job (and what a job it is!) but also featured my slay a few months ago in a random reminiscing about MUDding.... lol.
So, other than the general crud that fluffs around you at work today (yes the worktools, not people, they're nice)... how goeth it, my rodent friend? :D
Posted by: Raine at May 6, 2006 10:05 PMAnd what a job it is, indeed. And somebody remind me to blog about the people some time. Really. They're a party.
I sure can't wait to get my ass back east for school, though. SCSU, send me the damn letter already, ok?
Hi, by the way. 'owsit? Long time, no see.
Posted by: Dwip at May 9, 2006 7:16 PMTell me about great jobs okay... I signed my soul to the government about two years ago, and will shortly be teaching literature and the general paper to largish munchkin types (aged 17-18 or so) who want to get to the uni afterwards...
You're still going back to school? My god, are you intending to become a historical portion of the institution? ;D
Posted by: Raine at May 10, 2006 5:40 AMI am laughing too but it might be due to the amount of beer in my belly right now. Homebrewers are good people too!
